I feel obligated to reiterate that it's completely inappropriate to claim someone is fabricating evidence when they already provided sources to the developers, but moving on.

For reference -

the 1 instance in 1 log that shows 5 clicks per second, just so happens to be missing a full second of log entries AFTER the log messages
This is meaningless. One second gaps in events are extremely common, particularly with melee filtered.

and that is with a shaman casting malaisment. So from my standpoint, the logs provided thus far show a pretty consistent 2 or 3 clicks max input.
I already snipped the context for you, the shaman is not casting. Even if he was, that would still leave four casts in that second.

You've also yet to explain several other obvious examples already provided, e.g. -

Nope, non-wizards can't use the staff of temperate flux.
lucy.fnord.net/item.html?id=6342 (http://lucy.fnord.net/item.html?id=6342)
"Effect: LowerElement (Any Slot/Can Equip, Casting Time: Instant)"
The "Any Slot/Can Equip" bit means it's usable from inventory only by races and classes listed.

Compare Guise of the Deceiver (clickable from inventory by anyone) with Mask of Deception (clickable from inventory only by bards and rogues):

I was always so concerned with the archery nerf i didnt bother to go snooping about this "kite meta" we have in p99. People didnt kite like that back in the day
Yes they did. Stop posting nonsense.

Kiting was one of the very first things people realized about how to effectively play the game and DoT's were even nerfed against moving targets (not feared or fleeing) partway through 1999 because it was considered too powerful to kite with those spells. We have better computers/internet now, but Staff of Temperate Flux was absolutely used by Wizards for aggro kiting in the 2000/2001 era; it was one of the few useful things they could do.

People didn't use SoWed wizards with flux staves to handle adds or guards that they didn't want to have to clear.

Flux wizards with SoW kited (melee) adds for raids since someone figured it out back in the late 90s bro.

Got 4 adds? Have a wizard flux them and kite them around and the monk / tank can peel off one at a time. Shit's classic.

Yeah they did, and not only Wizards. People were more likely to die from lag though, so it wasn't as prevalent in dungeons.

I'm talking about in a ToV context. People killed guards most of the time and didn't go crazy with DA trains and kiters to leapfrog each other like they do on P99.

Some servers were super competitive and did have weird tactics to win mobs. There were many servers where there were MAYBE 2 guilds doing ToV, and they left each other alone.

Can't compare p99 to Live from 2001 for many reasons. But the biggest reason, imo, is that there are way more nerds these days that can dedicate hours to raiding the same fucking targets every 7 days to get loot for their 7th alt. That wasn't the case back then.

If Green followed the Live timeline, Dragons of Norrath would be out. So instead of raiding ToV for the past 5 years, players would have moved on progressing through the expansions. Luclin, PoP, GoD, OoW and DoN all had very heavy raid content.

But also, you speak with such authority about what it was like back then...

Oh don't you worry I'm just throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. But I wouldn't think anything that went on in NToV back in the day was anywhere near as crazy and coordinated as what happens now on P99.
