Seems like a big win for Rogean even if EQL doesn't last past a few expansions. He gets a bunch of money out of it either way.

Rogean is independently wealthy isn't he? I'm sure he'd take $100k+ revenue from the side hustle he ordinarily does for free (and sometimes at his own expense if donations are insufficient)

It's also weird that THJ was such a huge success, no nose dive, and had to be shut down because it was taking away too many players from live?
And you r-words think that it will nosedive? Why, do you think rogan can't do that with official daybreak backing?

Most of its free time is what catches my attention here. I would pay a subscription to actually see that before I'd pay to subscribe to roll-a-dope.

I just think in general we should be rooting for total success of EQL but I am from an age of liking stuff.

zero interest, zero hype here got bored of THJ the second i unlocked Luclin and uninstalled way before it got taken down, i forsee due to the soloability of content from the tri class system and how fast people blitz through new servers just in general people going to be burned out / bored within a month or two the time investment / friction in getting gear as a solo player is what makes EQ work, streamlining that and removing any barrier of difficulty just turns it into a weird Diablo/Path of Exile thing without the turbo rare RNG loot system that keeps people playing those i bet if THJ didn't get taken down the population would be rather small today from people just "beating" it and getting bored and moving on
