People are assuming this isn't The Sting, I've noticed.
Jawn and Rogean are gonna make some fine money, we all say. I do find it curious this really is not connected to live. Frostreaver, is kicking ass. Daybreak is being incredibly responsive to even simple gameplay snafus. The GM "level touch" is gonna kick ass when it's AA time. They just ding you for being happy. Damn. I really cannot express how surprised I am. 4 Jacks.

It'll be fine at first, then nosedive. Leveling is fast enough to where that won't retain subscriptions. Gear has planned obsolescence in less than 6 months, and even if that wasn't the case what exactly is the gear for if you can already clear the best stuff? On P99 at least raid gear gives you more solo-ability, but legends has solo-ability as its foundation. Then there's the fact that everything is an HP sponge and all class combos lead to melee, so max level gameplay is just boring.
They haven't and won't justify the subscription fee and constant nickel and diming from expansions, so something will either give on their payment model or the game itself will give.

Best part about EQL is failure isn't possible you just click a button and reset like nothing ever happened :P
I still need to play the Diablo 4 that I bought and then started P99 between the beta and full release but from what I've seen of both EQL seems a lot like D4 to me when it comes to gearing and item progression and player interaction. Basically the grind becomes grinding bosses solo versus grinding trash mobs solo on P99 for exp/plat/gear. Probably not for me but I can see some appeal that will keep the THJ types rolling for quite some time.

Diabloquest or Everdiablo does not spark subscription fee joy. Add pay to win elements? Not my scene, man.

Imagine devoting your life to giving people free classic everquest for 15 years and then the community you built spends most of its free time talking about how your new project will fail lol
