Did you try to burn a forlorn totem (or a few)? I expect that and a sow pot would make life easier.

I didn't try the forlorn totems yet. I like my fights to not use any consumable (except malachites of course) if possible, but since the totems are so easy to get and so cheap to recharge, I am tempted to try one totem vs two totems, and maybe compare with the same number of casts (5x per totem) of Malaise.

I don't know when I will try it but I'll keep you updated!
