That is not at all a good parallel for what you’re suggesting, and I will repeat that he/we knew the numbskulls of Norrath would be triggered by it for no good reason in a way that only those with 2-digit base INT can be.

Staff was perfectly ok with it at first and for a long time after; this would not have been the case if what the numbskulls are suggesting is true. 8 months after we formed, I got us into the UN and onto the rotation list. We had senior staff actively playing in DMO. Our conduct in game and in guild was beyond reproach. We had several known people (including Secrets) anonymously join us and remain inactive just to spy and to try to expose us for our supposed true nature. They never came up with anything. Our eventual dissolution was due to factors outside of what was suggested at the time.

The Dark Men of Odus were more or less a model guild, and Norrath would do well to have more like them.

Another cool additional pleasure of DMO was the fact that a lot of Antonicans were still triggered by the TMO initialism (for you Antonicans, that's like an acronym except the letters don't form an actual pronounceable word).
