Sorry for the ping to the forum, but does anyone have an updated install guide? I have tried to piece it together from the bits and bobs here, but I have been unable to get anywhere with it. I would be so grateful if someone had a step by step on how to make this work. I tried the original thread and I get a blank web page when I type in the url. I'm not sure if the fact that the SD has gone through a bunch of updates has changed anything either. This is my first dive into any kind of Linux based system and I am slowly learning, Any help would be very much appreciated!
The way I got it working was to have it already working on a pc and then just copy the folder to your steamdeck in desktop mode, open steam and add the "non steam game" which is the 'launch titanium.bat' and then I had to force proton experimental (prob not required anymore); you'll probably see a blank server list - that's what the 'zaela's login helper' stuff is about - I just ignored this and I just run the game a couple times and eventually the list populates. Then again, I'm on a satellite connection and apparently a bit of lag helps this? If yours doesn't populate, I'd recommend going the zaela's route.

Good luck!

I know this is an old post, but its the first one that comes up when searching. I'm struggling to understand how to "instal" the ISO images I have on my steam deck.

From what I can tell, the only way is to do it on a PC first and then just SD card the files over? is this correct?

https://wiki.project1999.com/Everque...allation_Guide has the windows version of the process, Linux should have similar but different apps.

I have been there. It is not similar enough to work. The problem is when you have ISO images, you must "mount" them so the OS see's it as a disc and then "run" the disk. That way you have an "installation folder" Using the steam deck, the programs Windows uses is not the same, and similar apps are not easy to find.

There does not seem to be a method of installing Project 99 on a steam deck without first installing it on a PC and then transferring over the installation files manually. I was hoping someone could "confirm this for me.
