Default What lvl ranger solo Gazughi Ring LOIO?

Looking to XP off a single courier spawn and maybe get a ring before everything greens out. I have an argent protector, seahorse belt, fungi tunic HP/AC rings, matchless shoulders and whatever gear in the other slots.

What lvl could I hold this spawn down considering PHs? Im not worried about maxing my farming strat since my main objective is xp. I just need to be a lvl where the mobs don’t take me super low and a roamer won’t one shot me. Forum search has lvl 20 for a mix of blues and greens but that wasn’t specifically for a ranger so I’m hoping to get a little closer estimate here.

If it's a good exp spot, it's not gonna be an ideal farm spot for obvious reasons but whatever the appropriate level is for the area (I think like 17ish? I don't quite remember.) you'll be golden to try to snipe an opportunistic kill. Which is pretty good practice for higher level rangering. Recommend having 150 or 200 range bow with 150 range arrows to tag with (you can learn to craft these in about 30 mins or purchase flight arrows in FV) and learn how to use because those couple % you knock off the life bar go a long way in preventing disputes over FTE. 350 range is LONG and really good to have for these open field named.

Ranger with a fungi and decent AC gear (highly suggest Crystal Chitin Gloves / Boots) should reliably be able to kill lv +3 mobs for a long time. Yellow cons certainly. If you get beat up, just kite and tick back up with fungi. Gets more exciting vs shaman mobs. Bind over at FV.

All good tips, thank you. I think if I get a couple of yellows back to back, not to mention reds, I would struggle to hold the spawn and maybe have to do too much kiting etc. I would guess lvl 16 would be a decent lvl to start trying to clear a courier spawn point, and if I fail, try again every lvl

Its a bit tough once you get the spawn cycle (is it still the same? 3 spawns?) going, to keep it going when you're getting exp on them, just running from spot to spot, en suring you dont "lose the ph" if it paths too far.

Thats what i remember when i did it long time ago

The trick is to find it up and just get stupid lucky. I did that twice.

I think there's up to 6 spaws with one being a double. Check the guide on the wiki.

I went there on a 19 monk with fungi/seahorse and it went well, only the warbones/spiritcallers conned yellow/red and I don't believe they're on the cycle. Biggest problem will be isolating. You'll have to pull singles, start a timer and keep an eye on the single spawn locations to see if something pops. You won't be able to wrangle the entire field and burn them down like higher levels do.

It is decent exp due to cons and density. While you're around 20 you could try the WW goblin fort and park a higher level there to whack the grachnists that pop. Good exp until 23 then you can move to WW giant fort or SoNH exiles. If you ever plan on needing spider silks you can hit the crag spiders until 25-26.

Rangers gonna have an easier time holding spawn cos you can keep the ph low hp and snared while you med.
