I think Druid is tops for me.
I can be the healer/spot-healer, keep the group moving to new adventures, charm a bit (Kael, Chardok, & PoM are super fun to charm in), quadding pays the bills for exp and loot (Sentient Suits, PoM Forest to feed new folks a squire flower), everyone loves some PotG, and you can be a tree. And if you are new player, it is 100% the class you should be picking. Dying is just awful in P99. You quickly get root/snare/gate/SoW and most deaths become avoidable with those.

I really enjoy the quality of life of having good runspeed, tracking, and foraging, so for me it's druid/ranger/bard. Not to mention levitate, invis, snare, some form of lull, some form of cc (root/mez). Not necessarily the most powerful classes but lots of fun to play.

The original post is a testament to this game, even if backhanded. There are, what, 14 classes all told and approx 1/3rd received high marks, with 1/2 being approved of when including honorable mentions. My list would add up to be about the same, but with a somewhat different composition. How many other MMOs, or games in other genres, could boast those same numbers? DAoC and maybe a few others.

I was so upset when I learned that spell wasn't a rain toggle.

Mages are actually really fun while leveling. Having a pet that can just flat out solo stuff and is super powerful is cool. Also being the only caster not having root and having to work around that lack of crowd control is a fun challenge.
Once you get to raiding though they are cucked and not as fun.

I will admit there is a vast difference in "fun" for classes between raiding and grouping content. Raiding tends to cost you any form of autonomy, because at this point in the game the starategies are known and tested and barely ever change.
For grouping, I think MOST classes are a real adventure. I personally dislike playing non-casters, but I won't look down on someone enjoying the rogue life, I know folks have asked how I could possibly enjoy playing a support toon (I main Cleric/Druid). Ennewi made an excellent point though, how awesome is it that this ancient turtle of a game has such a good balance that most classes are worthwhile? Also: Not bashing on raiding. My experience is from a Druid, Necro, Cleric perspective and it just felt like a lot of "stare at the wall" time occurred. Maybe melee gets more exciting in raids? If so, that would even further boost the idea of how nicely balanced this game is for most classes finding a way to be "fun" to play!
