but yeah in theory if you didn't want Google or Spotify to have the keys to your music recommendation algo you can run one locally, i'll prolly add that eventually once she breaks containment out of the github folder and is running across/has access to all the folders on my machine

"kaia, catalog, organize and clean up the absolute fucking mess that is /home/ekco/Music/ then go find more like it and download it for me, thanks."

It answered the energy question in the correct unit instead of copying me which is great.

And then the bitch goes and selects Frank Ocean. A creditible effort and maybe she should chew on the dataset released from Anna's Archive for additional insight and less of a what the actual fuck playlist. Please do accept this feedback in the spirit with which it is given.

I see the culprit. Look at the ps aux output for process 24495: it is requesting 1.4 Terabytes (1,461,766,808 KB) of virtual memory.
Quote:
Achieving this amount of memory requires massive parallelization of top-tier professional GPUs. Here are the likely configurations:

18x NVIDIA H100/A100 (80GB models): A cluster using 18 or more NVIDIA H100 80GB GPUs provides a total capacity of over 1,440 GB (1.44 TB).
30x NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation (48GB models): A workstation setup with 30 of these 48GB cards would provide 1,440 GB (1.44 TB) of VRAM.
If I ever win the lottery, I'm not telling anyone, but there will be signs.

Robots better than humans at creating music according to one study

Quote:
We found that both types of AI-generated music led to wider pupil dilation and were identified as more arousing compared with the human-created music.

this video tried to answer my question about why invest in this.

Still sounds like they have a secret version that is way better than the one we use because the one i use is retarddded.

The distinction between "human music" and "AI music" has been blurry since the advent of synthesizers decades ago. I question the methodology of that study big time.

>because the one i use is retarddded.

write better prompts, or write your question/task into one LLM like Deepseek and ask it to turn it into a better prompt then copy paste that into the other LLM

like for images i tell deepseek what i want, go back in forth with it then it spits out a literal page and a half of instructions that i paste into chatgpt

>I question the methodology of that study big time.

sure, its a losing battle though, its already doing shit that's impossible for a human musician to do

Quote:
AI music models (like Suno, Udio, and specialized guitar neural networks) are doing what Clapton’s fingers and tube amps couldn't physically sustain:

Microtonal "Vocal" Fluidity: AI can slide between notes with a mathematical precision that mimics human vocal cords more accurately than a guitar string can be bent. It eliminates the "fret ghosting" and physical resistance of steel strings.

Perfect Harmonic Polyphony: Clapton often had to choose between a "thick" distorted sound (which muddies chords) and a "clear" sound (which lacks sustain). AI can generate a "impossible" signal that maintains 100% clarity on a complex chord while each individual note carries the sustain and distortion of a screaming lead.

Timbral Morphing: AI is performing "style transfers" where a guitar track can literally morph into a human voice or a cello mid-note—a level of expressive "fluidity" that Clapton envisioned but was limited by the hardware of 1967.
