NPC Spawn Issue: Guardian of Takish did not hit for anywhere near as hard as he does on p99 in classic

I found this archive of the bestiary entry for this mob on Everlore from July 8th, 2001 and it has some interesting things in it: https://web.archive.org/web/20010708...4766&mode=show

The page calls him "Guard of Takish" but the description for the mob is "He gives a Quest for Knights and Templars if hailed. Also, he's only KoS to evil races and classes." so this is definitely the right mob.

this pain in the ass has about 30k hit points but he hits like a sissy gnome girl,yes hes red to a 60 and quads for 180.It took us 15 minutes to kill him.

On P99 he hits for 975 - 1000 per hit, which is outrageously high and would've definitely been pointed out somewhere on the internet if it was true, but all I can find is this comment saying he quads for 180 per hit.

I went ahead and tested how much he hits for on live EQ, I took all of my gear off (no heroic stamina at all so zero mitigation) and spammed sit while being hit by him to see what his max hit was, and lo and behold:

He indeed hits for around 180. This lines up with the above comment from 2001.
That comment got his HP wrong, though. I think the 200k HP he has on P99 is correct. These comments paint a clearer picture of his actual HP:

has way over 32k HP, no special abilities, not hard to kill.

This guy was slain by Pandemonium on Tallon Zek.

*Massive* amounts of hp, the 32k cap was definitely removed.

His drop:

Either he doesn't drop anything or he's broken

I also found a second entry for this same mob but this time listing him with the correct name, with a comment saying he drops platinum, which I don't think he does on P99: https://web.archive.org/web/20010708...6515&mode=show

20 minute battle, dropped 16 plat. Quest giver, not meant to be killed.

I just realized that Takish isn't the only mob in PoG that is hitting for wildly inaccurate damage numbers, it looks like Prince Thirneg, Ancient Totem, Undogo Digolo, Treah Greenroot, Fayl Everstrong, Ail the Elder, Rumbleroot, a phase puma, a Gleaming Sphere of Light, keeper of the glades, a guardian power, and probably many more mobs in Plane of Growth also currently have vastly inflated damage numbers on P99, minimum hits in particular. Very strange.

Edit: It looks like the warders in Sleeper's Tomb were probably affected by this aswell?
