Last I'd checked, regardless of a virus or a program entering your computer, the action of knowingly invading another individuals personal privacy -> is legally known as cyber terrorism and is a federal offense (according to the lawyer in the next room over that is..) Right, because Punkbuster is always under federal investigation.

But they placed a virus on your computer under false pretense. Aka breaking the law
This actually isn't a bad argument. Unless somewhere in the fine print they specify that they will check your hard drive for prohibited software, I don't know that it's technically legal to do it.

However, because there's no real damage (broken computer, loss of actual money, making public the personal contents of a hard drive, phishing passworded accounts, etc.), I don't know that any law enforcement agency would take the time to prosecute such a case when they have actual crimes with discernable real-world victims. If you find that your personal information has been compromised and you're concerned that P99's actions have resulted in actual damages to you that you can demonstrate (outside the world of Norrath), then perhaps you should pursue your case in a legal avenue. Otherwise, it may be time to accept that you used programs that you agreed not to use, and the administrators of this server discovered your violation of the terms.

Again, I don't know who all was caught, and I don't know if any of them actually used the programs in question. I'm just analyzing the situation at face value.

By detecting their location, as explained in the IRC file that is logged on my computer.

Thanks, hope you guys know what you're getting into.
Holy shit, they scanned for something and they found it. They are terrible people. A file path is not invasion of privacy.
