I think it will definitely have an impact, but there is a shockingly high amount of people I've met on P99 who don't particularly care for P99, but they don't have a great PC / connection, and refuse to pay to play a game. One of my closest friends on P99 was someone who fell under this criteria. They were really good at P99, even won the Necro BoTB on Green and another tournament. But they exclusively play WoW these days and when I bring up P99 they basically just say it sucks and that they only played it because they couldn't afford a nice PC or subscription at the time.

TL;DR I think poor people mains will always play f2p games that run on potatoes.
