Getting banned in videogames for using the chat or being hateful?

people did it to themsleves by supporting these companies going back to all the on disk dlc, preorders and the games being not even something you actually own just a service you buy, a temporary lisence to run completely at the mercy of said company.

getting banned for gamer words and being forced to buy another 70 software license is just another humiliation kink in a long line of them that the playerbase is obviously into.

It seems like gaming is a preview of what real life will be like 10 years later.

Like all of the gaming trends kind of led what would become social trends IMO. I bet i could argue about it if i thought about it longer than 40 seconds.

They need to stop using this auto-detect text ban ai and use real people to moderate whatever the hell they want to ban people for writing text in the chat or just never ban anyone for using the chat. Here in Project 1999 we all know the highest rank for your profile is being banned but other than that it's still cool to be able to make schizoposts like I do.

Thanks that this forum allows my opinions and doesn't get me banned, but even if I got banned HERE it would be the highest honor, because I don't even really play this game because I realized I'm too dumb and retarded to understand how to be good at this game. I have a level FOUR Iksar Necromancer and I doubt I'll ever get a level increase.

I just don't understand how using racial slurs or even hate speech should be ban worthy in a game I mean they do not know my real life name (even though I wrote it down on my Steam Profile [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]) and they don't know what I look like in real life (no pictures of me online) so how can I ever be offended by text on a screen? I don't get it.

Y'all can insult me here and harass me, it would be funny as hell to me. I don't get the mentality of reddit or discord people promoting this "talk shit ingame chat and get perma banned" thing when it literally harms noone. Why does using the chat get people banned in videogames when they clearly done no harm at all?

I can understand it if it's your facebook profile or a post you made on facebook with your profile picture and your real name, I guess that is "cyber bullying" but in a goddamn videogame where you can call yourself "Trump General Shrimp Tacos" or something like that, what is there to be offended by or be scared of? How come text from A-Z on a screen which is generated by your literal brain is worthy of any temporary or permanent ban? This just goes to show how much censorship we have allowed and how little freedom of speech is possible now. I mean the TEXT CHAT in game literally DISAPPEARS AFTER A FEW SECONDS.

It is not permanent text on a facebook website or a silly P99 forum, but it is temporary text on a screen that disappears after 5-10 seconds and noone will ever remember it anymore. How in the world can anyone support a ban for temporary text on a screen while you're killing an army of soldiers in the game? I don't get it but those reddit and discord shills want to have a peaceful war game.

Separating the censorship from the data-retention/privacy issue I believe EA is almost definitely logging those chats for future profit.
