Getting banned in videogames for using the chat or being hateful?

https://www.reddit.com/r/Battlefield...st_with_proof/

How do many people on reddit and in their silly little LGBTQ admin run discord servers support this nonsense. Now we have Battlefield 6 and the ban hammers are all over the place. Just google "Battlefield 6 banned reddit" and you'll see why.

But even older games like BattleBit Remastered banned many players for just blasting music in the local voice chat even though everyone enjoyed it. I saw a reddit post someone on Battlefield 6 got perm-banned for saying: "my team is restarted". And his username was Obama.

Now if ya ask me every form of text on screen falls under the line of free speech. I don't care if you're Hasan promoting terrorism or a Nazi. All this hate speech nonsense that some weak people invented just gets you banned far too easily. It's a loophole that can get anyone banned.

And if you join a gaming discord server nowadays, don't you see how many weird people are the admins there. Now I got banned twice on twitch for making a joke but I don't use twitch anymore, I use YouTube where I never got banned yet.

Back in CoD MW2 noone got banned for using the voice chat or typing text. Now people get banned for saying "my team is bad". Isn't this concerning? Why would I wanna spend over 500 or 1000 or infinite hours in Battlefield 6 if I can easily get a perma ban for typing a wrong word in the chat? BF6 has infinite ranks so you can play it forever. But what's the point if after 1200 hours I get banned for getting angry at my team one time and typing in "my team is restarted".

Today I disabled the chat in the settings completely in BF6 so I don't get banned but I still find it concerning that the devs even put in a chat room and you get perm banned for typing in GGEZ or my team is bad. I paid 100€ for the phantom edition and the game is actually good. It's the only online fps since a decade I want to play and enjoy. But again this chatroom censorship banhammer stuff is getting annoying.

Why do people even get offended being harassed or called slurs in a videogame, when the offender doesn't know your real name, and can't even see your face in real life. What's there to be offended by? They only know your gamertag. So if I call myself Trump Shrimp Tacos and go to play a game of Conquest in Battlefield 6 and someone in my team says my team is restarted or some enemy calls me gay and the nword, should this guy really get banned? No, he shouldn't cause that is freedom of speech.

I played cod mw2 when I was like 14 and adults were doing all sorts in the voice chat and even 10 year olds were using voice chat and being bullied, but everyone understood it was just for fun and just a joke. Noone got banned at least not that I know of. But now you just have to type in "Battlefield 6 banned reddit" and see the ridiculous text people got perm-banned for. A game they paid 70€ for and got perm-banned for typing harmless text that harms noone. How in the WORLD can anyone support these bans? If it was a free2play game, ok, you do you, but a 70€ game with easy bans like this? All they had to do was perma mute him in the chat.

I hate how you have to 2nd guess yourself and rethink three times over before you type something in the chat in modern games. The fear of the ban is just too strong for people supporting this nonsense. I guess games like Hearthstone with no form of communication figured it out and eliminated this loophole.

I love playing kill simulators (battlefield games) but not being allowed to swear.

people did it to themsleves by supporting these companies going back to all the on disk dlc, preorders and the games being not even something you actually own just a service you buy, a temporary lisence to run completely at the mercy of said company.

getting banned for gamer words and being forced to buy another 70 software license is just another humiliation kink in a long line of them that the playerbase is obviously into.

It seems like gaming is a preview of what real life will be like 10 years later.

Like all of the gaming trends kind of led what would become social trends IMO. I bet i could argue about it if i thought about it longer than 40 seconds.
