The nice people don't tend to stick around as long as the toxic ones.

Maybe I'm wrong here, but I'm picking up an undertone of expecting handouts. People get asked all the time for rezzes and sow or potg, and sometimes they're in the middle of something and don't have time to respond to everyone. Even if it looks like they're just standing there, they may be in the middle of dealing with some other interpersonal dispute or guild business in tells. If I get a tell that's like "Hey I need {buff}", I'm going to ignore them. If I get a tell that's like "Hey if you have the mana to spare I'd really appreciate {buff}", I'll be much more likely to respond.

I remember once I was spending all my mana keeping down a camp when some lowbie came up and got in my tells expecting a full line of buffs. When I told them I didn't have any mana to spare and that I didn't appreciate the demanding attitude they got real pissy.

You don't need potg to level. It's very helpful, sure, but you don't need it. If you die in your 20s you don't need a rez, you'll get the xp back in an hour or two anyway.

Just be friendly, chat with the other people who are friendly, be appreciative of any buffs you do get, and ignore the jerks.

People have free will. They could literally go to the beach, gym, arcade, park, forest, a friend's house, attract or keep a mate, or do nearly any hobby in the world. The people left that use their free will to collect virtual elf tokens in a dead facsimile of a game made 30 years ago are - and I emphasize - hopeless losers.

Yet, here you are. And with a join date in January 2017.

What is wrong with you, no sense of self awareness?

That's what I was thinking too. Sometimes I'll go around to common leveling areas and buff lowbies with POTG, regen, thorns, and sow for free, just because I remember how powerful I felt when I was the new to the game when a high level Druid did the same for me and I want to pass that experience forward.

But POTG costs 1200 mana, if I'm busy with other things I don't always have the time to throw it on every newbie that passes my way. If they act demanding or rude, I have little reason to even just throw them a sow.

Been playing on p99 for nearly 2 years now and I have enough fingers on one hand to count the ass holes I've had to deal with. Met a ton of nice people though, unless you hang out in the top raiding spheres I think most people are pretty laid back about it all. I'll usually stay out of problematic areas to avoid potential drama though.

I think you’ll find my level 6 paladin in cloth armour and tarnished weapon is entitled to your potg, even if i’ll forget ever playing that toon after a fortnight.
