I'm pretty sure they put KFC in that zone just give players a launch pad to jump off of with the cloak. You click it and it lets you levitate. More people should get one.

Banned? Yeah I was almost banned one time on live. I was hunting at KFC on my rogue, and I think some other rogue chick KSed me so I called her a bitch. Which was cool because I was pretty sure that curse words were garbled by the bad word filter, which I was not aware was a toggle at the time. Some other person, I think named Triangle, told me I needed to blah blah something respect other players, and I inquired if they were a GM. They didn't give me a definitive answer. Moral of the story: You never know who you're dealing with and they might not know they're a bitch, so let them know.

I believe that Project 1999 has successfully captured the essence of the original Everquest experience, drawing in both veterans and newcomers alike. But if the classic experience is so beloved, what happens when nostalgia fades and players demand innovation? Should emulated servers evolve to incorporate new gameplay mechanics, or would that tarnish the very essence they aim to preserve?

What happened to OP 3 years ago happened again this weekend. I was in SK to witness it. Apparently some guy was farming cloak and spent 4 hours killing PHs and Quillmanes and got Legs 8x in a row.
Quillmane spawns and somebody else who was just running by decided to kill Quillmane and then /ooc "Cloak rotting, loc XXXX, XXXX" The guy tracking goes to /ooc "No, cloak's not rotting! I've been farming for hours! I'm on my way to loot!" Immediately after, a 3rd party says "I'm here already" and then "Cloak looted, thanks!" I felt bad for the first guy. But he let everyone know GMs weren't able to do anything, because it's not a static spawn. But honestly, if the first dude wasn't tracking and killing PHs, Quillmane wouldn't have spawned. And the second dude who killed Quillmane didn't say anything - just killed Quillmane, /ooc'd the rotting cloak, and then left zone. Third player ignored the first guy pleading to let him loot the cloak because he's been farming for hours. Quite a mess, indeed. | ||
