Rogue used an SBD, which isn't really toxic, but he kept pulling aggro and was causing me to go completely OOM at fireplace in UR. Our group was actually sitting at like 80% mana before he joined, so we somehow got worse by having him in the group. Was this enough to get him canceled? Nope. A few weeks later, someone told me they found a rogue to join our group at Kobold Royals. After waiting for an hour I ask for the name of the Rogue so I can message him to see if he's really coming. Same Rogue. He's sitting in West Commons, saying he can't come to Sol B until he finds a teleport to Lavastorm or Nektulos forest. He could have easily ran there in like 5 minutes, no exaggeration. Dude finally shows up 2 hours late, and refuses to pull. We have an ogre warrior who can't pull due to lack of shrink. The entire reason they were looking for a melee dps was so we would have a puller. I ended up having to pull for the group as the Cleric. And this is true classic. You run into mana issues really fast even if you're sitting there meditating. While this same rogue we just spent hours waiting on is sitting there twiddling his thumbs. After both of those experiences I decided I don't want to play with him anymore. I could add almost any other player to my group and have a positive experience. BTW I still know his name and he still plays. Ironically I ran into the same player on his Enchanter and he was a really nice person. I'm not saying he's a bad guy or anything, but when his Rogue is in my group, the experiences have been so bad that I don't want to play with him anymore. I'm not an elitist either, I regularly insist we invite players to our group even if we don't need them and it means we will be getting less experience. But those are 2 out of the 3 players I remember grouping with and the experience being so toxic I don't want to play with them anymore. It's extremely rare for that to happen on a community like P99. | |||
