All of those things including shitting on John Wayne I absolutely agree with.
Dude, I had no idea going into it that Bone Tomahawk would be a pretty gnarly horror movie. Reminded me of when I first saw From Dusk Til Dawn and had no idea it was a vampire flick going into it.
