There's something about a well constructed background in 2D games that just doesn't translate into any other medium. Looks fantastic. I remember when I was completing FF4 on my SNES last year I was blown away by the mode 7 sliding graphics. Truly added a sense of grandeur to the final boss.

those old NeoGeo arcade games like Metal Slug, Samurai Shodown and others were so fucking good at beautiful background stages and pixel art animation

Yeah metal gear has no rival afaik it's like, a video game art style that nobody has had the balls to try to copy but this terminator game kind of looks like someone said fuck it lets try.

I love metal slug but I really never enjoyed playing it sadly and as a result never really got to see all that it had to deliver.

Samurai Showdown was legit. It was hard to get to play because it was Neo Geo. I only knew 1 kid who had one of those and he was suck a cock.

yeah we had a cabinet at the local grocery store but i didn't get to really play it till Mame emulator and turning free play on, those boss fights were designed to take quarters rofl

got this last week on sale also with Cyberpunk, decent pixel art, scratches that oldschool look itch

game moved copies due to the Sci-Fi channel playing the anime 30 yrs ago, same place i saw it, bought it off the name alone.

2D Figthers like that are some of the best examples, and they typically had phenomenal soundtracks.

This one is on the top of my list to play now that THJ is down, I will this weeked most likely, cool I almost bought the cyberpunk one and would have gotten the bundle too.

This one i hear takes like 4-8 hours, so I awnt to just burn through it over a few days before cyberpunk.

I've heard that EXACT soundtrack after 4 minutes in another game, is that a royalty free track thats been used in other games?

That stage art is S tier.
