![]() Honestly, though: THJ could have fought this case. But their lawyers really scuffed it up. Daybreak lawyers are really dragging the THJ lawyers through the mud on this one.
If you were laywer, as in if you're THJ lawyer: How would you continue on after the judge treats you like a law student, and the opposing counsel absolutely tears apart your every argument, successfully? I guess you gotta just dust yourself off and try again in the next litigation.

![]() And since I keep forgetting you can't edit:
The defending lawyer would be played by some snivelly actor, who is made to look a fool by the great William Shatner as Daybreak's counsel. The defendant would be seen in the hallway after the outcome yelling at his inept lawyer, as Shatner leaves confidently winning an easy case. He'd walk around a corner and bump into James Spader - and kick off the real thru-line plot of the episode. The THJ takedown would just be the cold open to the episode. Later in the episode, THJ lawyer would show up to Shatner's office drunk and with a pistol - claiming that Shatner's character ruined his reputation and he can never get hired again - and Shatner would have to talk sense into him, before the police arrived and hauled him off to jail.

![]() I mean somehow that calvin peeing bumper sticker managed to win its lawsuit against the creator.
You never know. But I couldn't imagine thinking what THJ was doing (hack/modding another IP against their wishes) being a stand your ground type situation.
