The thing that frustrates me is its not about "THE MONEY" it's about "money".

So like, yes you're right, but they are not going to spend 50k in court and lawyer fees to seize 30k in proffits some jack offs made.

Most people who say its about the money actually think that DBG is like, "oh no we could have paid for a team event with the money we lost, let's sue we NEED that."

It's about the money they will lose over the next 3+ years that THJ dominates them in the market.

Another point is that we've seen EQ emus come and go over the years. This is the first time DBG has gone after one. The main difference is the fact that THJ was collecting money far beyond what was needed to sustain a server. They were charging for all kinds of things and that was clearly noted in the lawsuit.

There was also a concurrent player base that was 8x any of their recent TLPs peaks.

Im arguing that the reason the lawsuit is happenig is because of how big they got.

The donation system is the tool they use to file the lawsuit.

If they had no donations, it'd have been harder for them to shut them down but they likely still would have.

I don't even think p99 hit THJ numbers at its peak. But I could be wrong.

I hope the THJ team is like, as good at law as they are making everquest EMUs so we can see them completely unravel DBG.

the human player to active account ratio would be hilarious to see, they'd need to break it out into groups though cause TLP is going to do all the heavy lifting in making it not seem as terrible i assume.

I literally do not care who wins or losses because it's already over and I know who is right in terms of the law.

I just like to stick up for the THJ devs whom I like very much.

HOWEVER I have lived long enough to know anyone who says the law is this or the law is that, needs to go look at rampage Jacksons son planning to and trying to murder someone all on video, who will walk, and become a UFC superstar.

You never know ohw this will play out, it could litreally blow up in DBGs face, and I hope it does. But Im not investing my heart and soul into beliving that happens yeesh.
