Iksar Necromancer Faction conundrum

I'm sure I'm not the first person to think about what positive factions an Iksar Necromancer could obtain. Figured I'd ask here!

Does anyone know of a compendium or compilation or body of research involving this? I'd love to see the results of someone who has come before me. Can an Iksar Necro ever really achieve non KOS with good aligned cities/races?

or are they forever locked out due to everyone hating them because they're a lizard. And what's more, a lizard who does undead things.
