![]() I played a wizard on live and rather enjoyed it so tempted to roll one for my teleporting character. I also have some int gear from my 32 mage I can transfer over.
Or do I roll a Druid which I hated at low levels and try to get to lvl 14+ with some xp turn ins like lightstones ect..? I know people are gonna say Druis as it is more flexible later on. I dont have gear for him yet and not sure if I will farm plat out to yet or not to buy some. I have about 600p I can spend atm.

![]() Druids going to level way easier, with more engaging play styles like charming animals.
Wiz is really for someone with the funds to plvl. Nobody should have to level a wizard from scratch.

![]() It depends. Are you planning to try and use the char to make money porting? Then go Druid for sure.
As far as leveling, do you care about leveling speed and being able to do different things to mix it up? If so, go Druid as they can root rot, eventually quad kite, and charm kill with animals. If not, then go Wizard...root nuking and quad kiting (although more of a pain in the ass on a Wizard than a Druid IMO). Do you want to group or solo? If you'd like to be able to group at times, then go Druid...although Druid will be a solo only class too post like level 40. Only other thing to mention for Druid is survivability. With SoW, buffs, etc. you will die less and have less downtime if a kill goes poorly since you can regen up your health quickly.

![]() There really aren't many pros of Wizard compared to Druids.
Port to planes. Big nukes on a few dragons and giants in Velious at the expense of peridots. That's about it. Go Druid.

![]() Wizard is a one-note class. Show up, nuke, TL the melee out. (If you're lucky you'll also maybe kite mobs around with your flux stick)
Druid can do way, way, way more than that.

![]() Druid: The best choice from 1-60 because you get it all: SoW, heals, root/rotting, quadding, charm, track, etc.
Wizard: The best choice for a raider at 60, because they can far outdamage the Druids; all raiding Druids get to do is PotG and spot heal.

Then whenever you don't wanna raid you can solo more than a Wizard can, powerlevel your friends and whilst neither class is really popular in groups at least you're not completely hated on.

![]() Got a wizard to 60 on live back then and you really have to be into the "nuking shit is fun" lifestyle because that's all you'll be doing. Very unidimensional class, you got a couple CC tricks but they're under appreciated. It is also a very lonely class, even more so on p99 so if you don't like quadding, you'll be miserable.
Enjoyed mine a lot but it was a terrible choice for a main. Should have rolled a mage. And by mage I mean necro. If there's one thing you should spend money on if you're serious is a jboots MQ. You can get to 60 without it but it makes everything so much easier.
