Not supposed to do that. Wildlife will become dependent and approach other hikers for waterings.
I’ve never seen anyone else pull it off. My fb post for it got almost 300 likes in 2 days

And like 25ish comments and no one said they dun it. One person said they love strawberries and someone asked did they get them to eat one and he said he had one as a pet but not poached from wild

So not only am I possibly the only person they will accept water from (and even from me it has never happened below 90 degrees no matter how I approach, it has to be above 90 out to override their fear response enough), but I am most certainly one of the only people out there who’s ever gotten one to drink right from the bottle (twice). As it stands I am the Chuckwalla whisperer

You have to become the lizard. You have to let your brain revert to lizard brain. Just food and sex, your only two concerns. It is my default mode of functioning so the lizards accept me as one of their own. Plus I love heatlamps

You are a good human NopeNope.
Awareness as well.

Reiwa is right. But dont tell him I said that. Also its not like you spend everyday out there to get them hooked.

The fact you are dedicated enough to go hiking when above 90° (32°C) prolly helps you to be one of the few that even get the chance to try. Assuming the 90° (32°C) thing is real.

Found of the girlfriend is pregnant! We've been together for 10 years, and "pulled the goalie" so to speak about 3 years ago. She's 41 now, so at this point we were both pretty much accepting that it might never happen, which we were ok with, just means more time for traveling and early retirement. But now holy shit!

Running through all the emotions now - happy, sad, excited, scared, etc, but overall I'm happy about it.

Still early days, and a lot could still happen, but so far everything seems good. Haven't told anyone yet but our parents, but I figure my anonymous elf friends can give me some words of encouragement.

So much for our planned december scuba trip to Palau though [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Highlight video from our recent dive trip in the Red Sea. Possibly our last scuba trip for some time lol.

For this trip we paid around 1600 dollars per person for a 8 day 7 night liveaboard. So we stayed on the boat the whole time. And we splurged a bit a got ourselves a private suite with our own bathroom and shower.

Not cheap, but when you consider all meals are provided (and good quality as well), you're diving 3-4 times a day, and the boat spends most nights traveling hours between dive locations, it's not a bad deal.

That being said Egypt is cheap compared to other places. We've done similar trips in the Maldives and Raja Ampat and they were more like 2.5-3k per person. We've also looked into the Galapagos as well, and it's 6-10k+ there.

Scuba diving is an expensive hobby lol, but it's so god damn cool!
