Is that covenant theology? I think it's old doctrine but the people saying it now are mostly buttholes.

no, it doesn't, but i simply don't like the idea of depending on divine punishment to mete out justice. i think that's a cop-out.

The OT basically says that Israelites should follow its laws, until the messiah comes, then you should do what the messiah does.

Jesus came and said he fufilled the OT and now we're meant to follow his teachings, but he asked us not to throw the OT away proving that he does not want to break those laws but fufill it, which is why it's still in the bible.
