Jesus came and preached peace if you believe the author of Ephesians. Jesus is also reported to have said that if someone strikes you on the cheek, offer up to them your other as well. He also rebuked the hypocrites in every account in the Bible.

i do not take any document as old as the bible at face value. i am definitely a hypocrite, but mainly because i'm an american. my faith is not rooted in scripture. you could burn every bible on earth and i do not think it would change a damn thing about good versus evil.

Good and evil are abstract words. You can't put either in a wheelbarrow nor on your mantlepiece. When people argue and fight over what they think an abstract word means and refuse to amend or alter their understanding or models to admit maybe there is ultimately no difference to fight over-- would you say such a person is deluded or not?

i dunno, all words are abstractions to me. we're just doing the text version of certain pitched vibrations attached to meanings, which change.
