Game Mechanics: Fishing up junk

I hope poles are vastly less fragile, the researcher mentions losing a couple initially but then keeping a rod for months. Recently, with about 90 skill i ratio about one rod per stack of bait! I’ve been mainly playing eq as a fishing simulator these days too!!
