This just happened yesterday (well, sorta, not about the full marathon). Worked with a very pretty athletic Hispanic co-worker who was filling in that day and the topic of working out just happened to come up after I violently re-directed the conversation to it
She was talking something about her mom dying I forget I wasn’t paying attention, but then I interrupted by saying that I liked to run, and that I ran a half marathon in Jan. She said she’s just getting into running and recently signed up for one of those. I was like “oh wow, cool, the half?” She said “well a 5k is that different? I forget the measurements”
…I hit her with this face
