I think that attempting to look good for one’s partner is a form of respect (unless having a very good reason to not such as illness), but that to me still shouldn’t be the ONLY reason ever Doing anything for another person whether that’s getting in shape, quitting smoking or drugs, etc, puts all the power in the other person’s hands.
