I have to lean towards the understanding that you can't unlearn something like how to make a video game. That there is a community out there that wants to play and share 3D rape games is concerning. In 1900 the authorities locked women in sanitariums and probably did rape and incest back then too. Also society has changed since then in more ways than one. Have you ever read a book called Going Solo by Eric Klinenberg? Oh and I'm assuming you would care to discuss so I'll wait for an answer or not as may please you.

I don't doubt there were abuses at the time but there was a form of mass media and it was newspapers. We have a few more kinds now with varying standards of what content is appropriate to publish. Gawker as an example had to learn the limits the hard way.

Well I won't distill it but the expectation that you would have to move to an urban center and learn how to socialize; that you would not meet your future wife through church or through your family is a novelty that has only been seen since the middle of the last century in the United States according to that book. And if you ask me most guys and girls at present among my contemporaries that I know either struggle or know someone who struggles with this area of modern life. Fluid intelligence is another part of the spectrum of excellence and varies in degrees throughout life. Which is why some people read because you can learn and see trends otherwise in your blind spot(s). And here's the thing. Libido and Eros, Love, Desire are all describing the same thing I understand which is powerful and it takes critical fucking awareness and a bit of luck and discipline to get any sort of perspective let alone competence in this area. But I've never been divorced and enjoy all the romantic relationships I can handle which for me is one.
