Whisky Thread

Never been a fan of whisky or any hard liquor in general unless I can mix it with stuff. But I dislike soda and refuse to drink it so that leaves me only with stuff like juices for mixers

But my dad loves whisky and drinks it straight. I’ll have to ask sometime which kind he likes, he doesn’t go for expensive stuff

And aged stuff….meh I don’t see the appeal. One time I was at a high end restaurant with my cousin, his gf, and her dad who is super wealthy. And he ordered this like 30+ yr old bottle of wine. It was so old it had like sediment in the cup when it was poured. And I think my cup was worth like $80 or some shit

Tasted like ass. Well ass mixed with a bit of gravel from the sediment

I also can’t drink alone that much. I have a few tall cans of bud light and some buzz balls in the fridge for when I have guests over. The other night I wanted to drink a tall can of bud light to help me fall asleep. I got about half way though and was like “not for me” and put it back half drank. Probably gonna get flat now. But the big reason I don’t drink alone is it’s just too much empty calories and I’m already pushing it as it is. I can’t go too high on calories or it fucks with my running stride
