It varies the info I can come in with. Anyone seen in any function by any employee at my agency, I can see their case notes. And someone on the Medicaid insurance some things I can see about their behavioral health provider even if it isn’t us (and considering there’s like dozens and dozens, it’s almost always not us)

But beyond that only the info that the the source of the request provides, might be a lot, might be nuthin

But this lady did provide me with her doctors(2) info. So I called each to coordinate and partly to put on blast that stupid naturopath that (allegedly) told her to stop taking her psych meds and do keto instead

And the client and her doctor said she didn’t have a history of hard drug use. And of course the doctor said no that’s absolutely not true, she’s been encouraging the client to get on mental health medications because she was already off them for some time before she started seeing her

Then the doctor said “she has mentioned in the past an extensive history of trauma. The worst imaginable…” and she trailed off. I quickly interjected that she didn’t mention this to me, and the doctor stopped at that point because HIPAA gets dicey on what can be revealed even in circumstances like hers

But while it wouldn’t cause someone to be that psychotic, it certainly appears to be a factor. Whether it was dad or someone else is anyone’s guess though
