What makes twinking a caster "great"

Super late to the party, but I feel like JBOOTS on a Wizard twink would feel like a huge upgrade.

Major QOL for sure and makes quadding so much easier/safer. On live back the my wizard quadded raptors 52-58 with no jboots and it worked out but it would have been insanely easier with them.

Throw in a Velium Crystal Staff and you can solo like a melee twink (with undead nukes) until your 40's [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

(At that point, the staff proc becomes meaningless and you have to rely on nukes for damage, so you're more like a tanky Wizard.)

Having twinked two Clerics (and then gotten them into the 50's), I'm not sure I could enjoy soloing a Cleric untwinked.

Sounds fun but for a wizard I was thinking about a darksight dagger which is basically a wurmslayer that's worth pennies on the market. Haste that bish and go to town, no need to wait for procs.

For a cleric it sounds great but I was farming a devastator which is nice what damage with an ok proc. I was considering dropping the 4kish on skins to faction her for an engraved di'zok deathbringer but it wont proc until 50. 16/22 with 15wis is pretty solid though.
