is there any science on it improving comp sci skills or is it just a meme, couple female coders in my family that i was always been jealous of their skills
Nothing positive or negative I’ve noticed in terms of mental computation. Mental benefits are mostly with perception and emotion/attitude. Confidence is a common report, along with energy level, how one perceives physical tasks/labor (generally more enjoyment from them), possibly more competitiveness. I do believe competitiveness is definitely more of a masculine than feminine trait, as there’s a reason why e-sports have always traditionally been dominated by men (mostly very young men because of a degradation in motor reflex with age). Women compete as well, but I don’t think on average as a gender they have quite the same level of competitive drive. But that’s just me

Physical benefits can be pretty ridic. But to say “take this drug and life will be easier in every way for everyone” is false

My older cousin pictured below is pharmacologically and hormonally very similar to me, other than he has to take a slew of diabetes meds because he is not active at all. And he is known for being very negative and bitter in personality

So positive changes are not a guarantee. Too many people don’t understand the power of what they are wielding or how to best harness it [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Studies have shown that regular exercise is as effective, if not more effective than prescription antidepressants/ anxiety meds

I can personally attest to this. I started lifting for my depression but at this point I’m chasing the dragon and it’s become part of my routine as much as eating and sleeping. Also my guns start looking real appetizing if I skip a few days

There are drugs besides adderall that do improve computation and concentration though. For sure there are drugs that will make you smarter while on them. Sides I have no idea as no amount of drugs can fix my level of dumb so it’s never been an interest

I believe Andrew Huberman has mentioned some, but I’ve heard he can be a bit of a charlatan in what he promotes. I think any phmaracological longevity or bio-optimization channel or sub will know some of the latest and greatest
