Look, we know DSM isn't just "numbers smart". He has actual "understand logic and how the world works" intelligence, when he's not turning his brain off.

I dunno, maybe it's a lack of intelligence, or maybe it's just a kind of "stuck in his ways" thing where he's unwilling to change his views no matter what reality throws at him. Either way, I really did think his brain had the capacity to take in new ideas and adjust. Clearly I thought wrong.
