Fodin Frugrin and the Air Tight Box Quest issues

Fodin is supposed to give you the box at at least apprehensive faction but below amiable with the following message: "Fodin Frugrin says, 'There is much you must do for the Library of Machanimagica before such things can be revealed to you. Perhaps fetching minotaur horns and returning them to Professor Theardor will earn you membership to the Library of Machanimagica. But I suppose if Larkon sent you that you truly wish to prove yourself, eh? You'll have to get your hands a bit dirty, though. Take this box and fill it with livers from those infected rats. We need them for research. Well go on. You can take a bath when you're done.'"

Instead, he gives you just this: "Fodin Frugrin says, 'There is much you must do for the Library of Machanimagica before such things can be revealed to you. Perhaps fetching minotaur horns and returning them to Professor Theardor will earn you membership to the Library of Machanimagica," and does not give you the box.

Not only that, he should be on "Eldritch Collective" faction. and he appears to be on "Merchants of Ak'Anon" faction.

This is a ZAM link showing that he is on this faction on live and there is a comment confirming it.

It makes sense, the message he gives indicates he is on that faction, and as a caster gnome who is amiable to my guild, it only makes sense that this quest should be doable without factioning.

I think I have Merchants at amiable now, so I have no idea what his faction is.

Okay, at this point I am 90% sure he is on Deep Muses faction.

Also, I used an OVP to get to amiable.

He gave me the apprehensive text prompt of. "'There is much you must do for the Library of Machanimagica before such things can be revealed to you. Perhaps fetching minotaur horns and returning them to Professor Theardor will earn you membership to the Library of Machanimagica. But I suppose if Larkon sent you that you truly wish to prove yourself, eh? You'll have to get your hands a bit dirty, though. Take this box and fill it with livers from those infected rats. We need them for research. Well go on. You can take a bath when you're done."

It seems that he has the apprehensive/indifferent response switched to the sub apprehensive response, and the amiable+ response switched to apprehensive/indifferent.
