For the record, I did try to search the forums. I searched bard mana regen and looked at a few pages without any luck. Just because you have encountered this issue already and knew, doesn't mean you have to lay on the passive aggressive bullshit when this is a very obscure mechanic that has almost no reason to come up in conversation... hence MY DISCLAIMER that I may be mistaken here.
Additionally, even if I had saw the FAQ (which is completely unreasonable to expect everyone to do before questioning if something is a bug... specifically this being on a completely different site and at the very bottom of a very long post under "Bard"), I'd still question whether this mechanic was accurate to classic since they patched the bard mana songs multiple different times on early live. Just to prove my point; the fact that flowing thought even affects bard "mana" regen is counterintuitive to the statement that "bard's mana isn't really the same resource as spellcaster's mana". If it wasn't, then why would a worn item that increases MANA REGENERATION work the same way on bards as it does on other classes?
Furthermore, since this is so obvious to you Potatus - Guild Leader of Castle and clearly the esteemed diplomat and empathetic poster, why would other bard songs affect the bard while this very specific aspect of songs does not? To that point, the health regeneration part of something like Cantana of Soothing does appear to work, but the mana side (literally has the effect: 2: Increase Mana by 5 per tick) does not?? I'd again point to flowing thought (literally has the effect: 2: Increase Mana by 1 per tick) working, but somehow mana regen from other effects so obviously and blatantly shouldn't? Why would they label it MANA COST on the songs and MANA in the UI if it's not actually mana? And if it's really not mana, why does it appear to be mana in every other aspect; and how is all of this just so obvious that someone deserves to be sh*t on for being confused?
It is my opinion you're not being helpful to the community when you share information in this way. I get it.... you saw this come up before, but it's clearly not as intuitive as you think and perhaps you should allow people to be confused and/or mistaken without being an _____.

I agree. That passive aggressive response was toxic. You could try helping and try *not* being a jerk, potato or whatever you are.
