Just to be clear:

1. It seems like OP is still correct based on the written rules. If the rules are wrong, you honor them and then fix them for the next time.

2. The way you deal with last-minute sleeper bids is to not close the auction until some fixed time after the last bid. It is not to close auctions randomly.

3. The whole concept of the discord auction closing because of a quake sounds terrible. The controversy was self-inflicted by the people who made such a rule in the first place.

Based on the original post alone, you could strongly convince me the Second Amendment is a God-given, inalienable right in order to protect the mental fucking fragility of grown ass men being unable to deal with their emotions.
