Even the idea of letting the community discuss it openly == a fail. Those threads are going no where and there is a ton of bull shit being spewed out.

i think it's good to have threads.. they aren't going nowhere, they are discussing the issues.. some it seems most ppl agree on, and others there is real disagreement. if devs just think to themselves in a vaccum they may not consider as many angles to a topic. i am very glad rogean posted those threads. not just to consider the issues, but also to let us know that they are taking them seriously
