And for what?
this was all for no other reason then shareholder dividends, and the massive enrichment of the very few.

americans demanded higher wages, the government demanded taxes and environmental conservation.

30 years ago in china you barely had to pay people, the government wanted you to be there because they are on a long term plan to modernize and make money to fund their commie/fascist dreams, and you are allowed to pollute as much as you want if you can do so without bringing international attention.

You can get disqualified for any number of mental health conditions can’t you? I only know the MH field, but I have clients all the time say they refuse mental health treatment because they want to be able to join the military and don’t want their records pulled

If it causes some form of life stress (in various categories) then it is considered dysphoric, and the majority I believe are

So the only real losers here are trans people who are not dysphoric, and this is a small subsection of a small subsection now
Up until the dick Cheney's and john Bolton's of this world made up the democrat party, being a draft dodger was considered smart and cool to democrats. Like from 1960-2016.

Remember trump was a democrat back then, and he did say he was smart not to be drafted (which he was Id shoot anyone who tries to draft me).

it wasn't lost, it went somewhere, people that just bought into Nvidia and other tech companies after they've already gone up 9,000% or whatever since covid deserve to have their money taken.

and it's not real until they sell their stonks for a lose. there are people who are still waiting to break even on IBM and Oracle and shit from the dot.com bust.

and oh well the retail investor that would have bet that same money on a football game instead "lost"

all the degenerate leveraged option gamblers lost their money though

also it was 1 trillion this week, your thinking of 6 months ago when it was 2 trillion because of the USD/Yen thing

Quote:
The sharp rise in the JPY/USD is causing a massive unwind of Yen carry trade positions and contributing to the sharp decline in US stocks. For those who do not understand how this works, a brief explanation

Many traders were borrowing Japanese Yen (JPY) at low, to almost 0% interest rates, converted them to USD and used this to buy US stocks

Now that the Bank of Japan (BOJ) is raising interest rates, the JPY has strengthened significantly against the USD.

Japan’s government is engaged in a GIANT $20 trillion "carry trade“ - the funding of loans and foreign assets by borrowing low-cost yen.
this shouldnt even be legal lol

yeah the draft was never the best idea, it was culturally more acceptable in like 1940 when everyone had european friends/neighbors and heard about all their relatives dying, WW2 was just the perfect war for patriotism, nations coming together to defeat a common enemy.

but conscripts are never half the soldier that a volunteer is, as long as we have poor people with half a brain, we'll always have reasonable numbers for the military

yep exactly, and then they studied the production facilities that we built there, and our processes and nowadays literally anything that anyone manufactures in china is copied and ripped off, and produced cheaper and sold in other markets.

wall street isn't full of dumb people, they had to understand that this is what is happening to their own investments, and that it could not last forever

but it does build a new super power in the world, political conflicts hot/cold wars are good for business

it's a weird hybrid capitalistic oligarchy that claims to be communist or w/e

can't really argue with results though, wtf timmy gonna do tell them communism has never worked while they line you against a wall? lol.

and it will be tiktok NPCs doing the lining up and shooting also

not like our system is doing any better, we're free and everyone is fucking miserable and chinese people are unified and don't care they can't ask about a random dude standing infront of a tank.
