It’s so cute when you beg.

Go get your own parses.

I’ll provide them [logs]freely to anyone else. I enjoy doing/watching them and understanding the game.
It is cute you think I am begging. Ego issue. I am just making you post more evidence of you refusing to post logs. You keep digging a bigger hole for yourself. I still don't understand why you think you are hurting me.

Your logic of making yourself look bad to somehow hurt me is the most nonsensical thing I've seen.

At this point my belief has changed from it being an artifact of too-short logs to being a real effect, probably to do with compressed DI on low-damage weapons.
This is interesting… I’ll admit that. The only significant time I’ve invested graphing out DI distributions historically has been defensively- and then it was done in making the case that armor class is/was actually of utmost importance on live.

If you say this is a pattern that you have observed before with any amount of frequency, I’ll have to go back and check some of my logs again. I still suspect this was artifact but now I am genuinely curious.

It is not a pattern typically observed either offensively or defensively. Defensive parses typically have a more smoothed out bell curve of sorts unless you have ac/gear that completely eclipses and overpowers the content. Offensive parses have always been more scattershot for sure but this type of spike is likely erroneous and due to the short parse length. Short parses , on average, will give you an average … but they are prone to some really wonky results at times.
I defer to your greater experience with parsing. The other parse I'm thinking about was one DSM provided against Coruscant or whatever the level 5 turtle is, so it clearly had multiple confounding effects.

I'm gonna parse some hill giants on my 45 ranger. I've got Spined Dragon Claws, Green Jade Axe, and Worn Shai`Dinn Naganata. Hopefully I can get 10-20 minutes/side.

Things are looking up for the forums if Troxx and Bcbrown break their two year streak of providing zero data. I am genuinely excited.

My open offer of healing either your SK or monk on my druid or cleric remains, as always, open. We could easily get an hour of data on Mentrax/Eldrak if you'd like!

Problem with mobs like Bloodmaw in GD and that dang turtle in Iceclad is that they don’t fit into standard game mechanics. They are green at higher levels … it’s about as reliable as finding an orc pawn with infinite hp and trying to learn much of anything from it.

It doesn’t carry over to the xp group part of the game where you are fighting dark blues and certainly doesn’t paint an accurate picture vs red con raid targets.

Convenient? Very much so.

Useful? Possibly … as long as you acknowledge the limitations and break points.

There is some value for sure … but it would be a mistake to try and use those results and translate that to real world expectations via napkin math.

I suggest you take him up on this offer. It is generous and seems to be sincere. My response to any future begging from you will be the same: You can pay me for my time or you can go fuck yourself. No more freebies.

Name a mob you think is a good parse target then! I can parse against it and we can compare notes.

A parse against Eldac/Mentrax at 20-30 minutes per side would be fantastic data.
