Sro AC does indeed either spawn or not spawn at 9pm every game day, and he does have specific spawn locations all of which are in the sand\desert area of the zone, and at 9pm either he or a PH will spawn at one of those locations. I've gotten the sro ac four times on green, most recent one being about 2 weeks ago. Two of the times I've gotten him, he spawned in the exact same place which was approx -800, +1100 near where the sand meets the grassy area.

If you can pinpoint one of his spawn locations, just show up and stand right on it at 9pm and you might get lucky. Standing in the middle of the desert and trying to track\race for it usually doesn't work out and you just leave frustrated cause some douchey bard or druid with spirit of cheetah gets it.

makes me wonder why/how they have been camping this for years... there's clearly not years worth of jboots out there..

Everyone would have a jboots already even on all their alts if it was.

Maybe they're AI robots that are just deleting the ring after it drops?

I think it is market control. They'd rather loot a weeks worth of rings and have them start to rot/ go thru the work of recorpsing than allow them to regularly go less than the controlled price (5k?).

Clearing PH in SRO does not cause the AC to spawn. At 9pm it either spawns or a PH spawns. There is nothing you can do that will make it spawn, there's no way to camp it as it can spawn in multiple places in the zone.

So while you are welcome to be disdainful of people who are terminally online and trying to monopolise the camp, you can't accuse them of doing anything technically wrong with respect to PH.

Doesn't matter either way, having someone literally run in front of you and immediately U-turn to get in front of you when they see you turn the other way, using their SoW to insure that they are ahead of you no matter what direction you turn is literal griefing. Like imagine if I did this on my high level Druid. Some low level player is trying to solo in OT? Let me run ahead of him and aggro any mob it looks like he's about to pull. Like c'mon, dawg. This aint PNP IMHO.

Yes it's very obnoxious for someone to levitate on top of you with Spirit of the Cheetah. I should know it took me 10 days of camping SRO to get my jboots. I made some friends who tried to help me as well, but in the end I got them during a quiet time when I was the only one in the zone.

One time it spawned and I wasn't fast enough to get to it and the merchants killed it lol.
