OP I'm afraid you are SoL. There is 'technically' something you can do to sort of mimic the functionality of multiple hotbars, but it isn't perfect, and is likely not something they want people doing. If the trick ever got out I'm sure they'd block it, too.

I didn't know there was a 'trick,' but I think I have a good idea of what it is now that you mention it. I'm pretty stupid but I've done a lot of playing around with my UI by trial-and-error over time so I know how most stuff works.

Anyways, I disagree. I think having 8 spell gems and 10 hot buttons is a good maximum number of keybinds. I don't even have all my hot buttons bound. And then for my situational or less used macros I just use a socials page.

And if you want to play that way, that's totally fine. The extra hotbars are for convenience, and personally make the game more enjoyable for me. I enjoyed multiple hotbars on P99 for 9 fucking years. nine years. It was great! I was enjoying myself the whole way through.

Then green launched and suddenly a server that offered the best Everquest experience now offered the worst. I didn't come back until October of last year and if I did not find my workaround I would not have stayed. Just as the hundreds of elitist around here are unable to enjoy the game unless they upset as many people as humanly possible, I am unable to enjoy the game without multiple hotbars. The option is all I've ever wanted, and the server had them for far longer than it didn't. It's a stupid hill to die on, but unfortunately they have done just that.

Yeah personally I don't see the big deal as you can quickly swap to another hot bar page or use a socials page.

It is a weird thing for them to feel so strongly about that they removed it from the server, isn't it? What a weird thing for them to do. How unnecessary. They really should have just spared themselves of the dozens of hours needed to decipher the game client code and just let the mild quality of life feature stay in the game.

Yeah I use alt-# for spells, and ctrl-# to change hotkey page. It's never been a problem for EQ - I only use like 3 pages anyway. The other pages are just old language training macros or inc messages that aren't funny anymore and probably weren't to begin with.
