It's very important that we quibble over the real meaning of anti-semite because then we can be obtuse and avoid addressing people's points.

Instead of antisemitism let's just start saying "people who hate jews". Or "people who literally openly say they want to genocide the jewish people specifically, and openly celebrate attempts to". Is that easier?
