Some people like options. For instance p99 currently isn't the most popular Old school EQ server. Things can change back of course and will likely fluctuate over time as to which Emu server is most populated. Currently that is PQ.

Live, TLP, EQ Emu, overall having many different EQ options is good for Everquest players.

Inferior, Superior, and other considerations differ depending on where the EQ player is coming from.

Many P99ers will consider the TAKP client inferior to Titanium because it is. That complaint goes away when Evolution is released.

Eh it never had mousewheel when I played it for real so I don't want it now.

Rumor on the street is Trilogy client will also be made to work with PQ eventually (long term - no eta) if you really want to be a purist.
