Republican John Raymond is running for a seat in Louisiana’s state legislature on a platform of protecting children from LGBTQ people. However, there’s an issue with his campaign message: he’s the worst messenger ever. Raymond has been charged with four counts of child cruelty following multiple allegations of physical abuse during his tenure as the headmaster of a christian academy.

Raymond had previous been arrested by Slidell Police on April 7 and charged with three counts of cruelty to a juvenile after allegedly taping three 13-year-old students' mouths shut with packing tape for talking too much in class.

Democrats are overperforming. There are not going to be any republicans left in government before too long.

When you think about it, most people are idiots, which means most of the electorate are idiots, which means overperforming in elections means your side gets more votes from idiots. Which explains people like aoc and john fetterman getting elected.

I still think there should be a basic american history and political aptitude test to be able to vote. I don't think it's some magical right every citizen should necessarily have, but everyone would have the opportunity to pass the voter IQ test.

The law and order party routinely ignore judges orders. In ohio the supreme court said redraw this map because its not fair to anyone. They did it five times. The court orders them to draw a fair map, they said no, just kept the unfair map.

Doesnt that say it all? They fucking hate democracy. They hate the courts. They hate laws. They did it six times, making a map that is illegal, on purpose.

Reckless violation of the rights of their own citizens. Same thing in wisconsin. Judge wins an election by 11 points, republicans move to impeach them the first day on the job because they could unrig their jerrymandered maps.
