I’m gonna do my annual heat run on the hottest possible part of the hottest day

Saturday is supposed to actually be 117, but unfortunately I have a family bday party sat afternoon

Friday at 115 is decent. I think I’ll do my usual mountain hike in the morning Friday, but then at 3-5pm time frame I plan to do the Annual Heat Run

You tend to see a lot of dead birds from what I remember from past runs. I have to wear a pear of shoes I don’t care about because the rubber bindings tends to melt

Ima Runkeeper it only to show the time of day and distance (hoping for at least 3+ miles)

Speed is going to be bad though. There’s no way to cool down running at that temperature, so I have to pace my steady increase in body temp to coincide with it being highest at the end, ideally
