It only pulls up recent material too. Even if you specify time periods to search through it won’t show sites it previously would even if the site was previously displayed and is still maintained.

All search engines do is display propaganda and shopping.
So visit the internet archive for basic info, or printed media?

Things still get physically printed and stored. So you know, the major newspaper, go find the microfiched copy. Cross reference it, or the fact you are researching, with other major newspapers, and include international newspapers if you wish.

And then there is the internet archive too. That's digital archiving basically.

Wikipedia pages have complicated histories of edits for each page. Each page is translated into what, 40 some odd languages? That's not auto-translated. Those are, or certainly were human.

Then there are all the paranoid people. Making copies of all this too. Does anyone remember how "clipping news articles" used to be an normal hyper-active person activity? That's a personality type. Like people who memorize box scores. They still exist.

The amount of human labor it would require to effectively erase or control the past in today's data field would be better spent building a Dyson Sphere.

Or a Faraday cage. FIND YOUR OWN SPIRIT PLACE.
