I already have a beast of an insane gaming laptop. It's way. Heavy. And runs pretty hot tho.

Was thinking more along the lines of Asus ZenBook Ubuntu Laptop.

WHY WE LIKE IT: Portable and compact design, with a slim form factor and a weight of just 2.5lb, in addition to offering 8GB of RAM and a 512GB solid-state storage drive.

Pros
Battery lasts up to 15 hours8GB of RAM and 512GB SSDBacklit keyboard for night use

Still tooo big tho.

I mean an 4g ram book that will load eq with 16-32g of drive is plenty for EQ.

Also I'm not really feeling windows lately.
Honestly win10 needs 4GB just to run half decently. Idk about win 11. You may be right about ditching win for linux. Thinking about it maybe I’m wrong and machines with 4 or less GB ram may just also have crap cpu. Maybe modern cpu/ram speed is fine with just 4 Gig? Idk

If you upgrade your laptop go for the illuminated keyboard, i’ve found mine useful. I’d avoid a beast, just something light weight, tough and well ventilated. Toshibas seem tough, lenovos plastics start breaking too quickly HPs are somewhere in berween. Obviously that is historical experience which may not apply to whatever is built more recently. .

I have an old laptop plugged into a telly that I sometimes play eq on. Do you get a long with wireless keyboards/mice?
