Nah, it’s not that easy. My wife was an NP in a children’s hospital and they regularly couldn’t get kids taken away when the mom gave them heroin because baby wouldn’t sleep

On the flip side, lots of medical foster families are in it for the govt stipend and a shitty home with loving parents is better than randos not in it for the child
